5 Reasons to start your business from Starbucks

An interesting topic this week!
Here are our 5 reasons why we think you should start your business from the comfort of a café.

At the PopUp Business School, when we're not travelling the country helping you start up your own businesses, we are more than likely based in a Starbucks somewhere. This works brilliantly for us as we love coffee!

Where do you work from? Which local café or restaurant  could you go and turn in to your office for free? Where could you go that gives you the motivation and concentration you need?

We'd love to hear your thoughts! Leave your comments below or contact us on Facebook and Twitter!

Make money. Have fun. Do good.

Working from 'ThePub' is nice. Not so good for concentration or motivation though.

I have tried that before, it depends on the day really.. During the summer, sat in the beer garden it can be lovely! However, generally more pricey to be there for an extended period of time... and if you're inside, it can be really dark and distracting. If it works for you, go for it! We find that a café always provides the best atmosphere.

Love the Caffeine Kink!!!
The free wifi sounds good, but I don't think I will find many brides at a Starbucks, unless I set up a photobooth.
I suppose I could be editing a wedding, and hope for a passer by to ask questions... Actually, I quite like that idea - I will have to pop down to my local :-)

You'd be amazed how many couples I've seen planning weddings in Starbucks! To think about it; I'm fairly sure Alan did! It might not be the best place to do the production of your product if it's a physical thing, however it works brilliantly for all of the admin and marketing stuff! You never know who you might meet...

My preference is get up early and have breakfast at a Wetherspoon pub. Unlimited filter coffee is £1.10 and serve yourself until 2.00cooked breafast is about £3.50 or so. That's way better value than Starbucks! Decent wifi is provided by the Cloud.

Very interesting points! Having a motivating atmosphere around you and a total supply of coffee can definitely get entrepreneurs' brains going.
