So we’re here at the Popup Business School in Redding. And we’re here for two weeks in the Waterstones store, helping people build businesses and make money doing what they love. And one of the questions that’s come up quite a few times during this week has been, how many tweets Should I send a day? So if I’m using Twitter, how many tweets Should I send a day? And well actually does. A lot of social media experts would give you a very straight answer to that with you should send three tweets a day or something like that. And I don’t think that’s the case, I think there’s two types of tweets that you can send. One is the broadcast tweet, where you literally tweet out to the world, this is what I’m doing or buy my stuff for, here’s my latest blog article. And those should be limited. Maybe there’s three, five days, something like that, where you’re sharing information, but you should be sending those out on a regular basis, but not too much. The second type of tweet is the type of tweet where you directly send it to an individual. So you put at your name, and you send it to that person. Now, that type of tweet, you can send Unlimited, it doesn’t really matter. You want to be talking to your customers. And the more you talk to your customers, the more they will engage with you. Now I remember seeing a Gary Vaynerchuk talk, then you all know that we’re fans of Gary Vaynerchuk. I remember going in the audience asked a question, saying that I have 10,000 subscribers, the new Gary Vaynerchuk have 149,000 subscribers. How do I get from where I am to where you’re at? And Gary asked the question and said, Well, how long do you spend on Twitter a day? And the guy’s answer was 45 minutes to an hour every day. Gary said, Well, I spend 12 hours a day sending tweets and connecting with people. There’s the difference work. And I really do think that the answer to this question of how many tweets you should send is how successful do you want your business to be? If you want to find customers. If you want to grow your business, if you want to grow an audience, then get involved. Get out there and work. connect with people. Talk to people, and start growing your business. Limit the broadcast tweets for the direct tweets to people. Start talking to individuals all around the world in your business area. Start talking to your customers straight away. The more you do, the more your business will grow.
